Mawdesley Circular Walk Sunday 1st September 2024

Sat Nav L40 2QP The Red Lion 68 New Street Mawdesley - Car Park at rear.
Because it is a local walk the start will be at 9.30am from Parbold shops for a short drive to the car park at The Red Lion, Mawdesley As we are eating at The Red Lion after the walk and we have permission to park our cars at the rear.
The walk will begin at 10.00am and is approximately 6 to 6.5 miles.
We will be leaving the village via The Millennium Green and then crossing Mawdesley Moss.
After about hour and a half we will stop for a coffee break at Rock and River Outdoor Pursuits Centre. There is a cafe and toilet facilities.
The walk continues using country lanes skirting around Mawdesley village.
This is a flat walk providing good views across open farm land and the Pennines in the distant.
Anyone wishing to have a meal at The Red Lion after the walk should give their order to either Gordon or Sylvia by no later than Sunday 25th August.
