One of the most distinctive artists of his generation, Sir Stephen Hough combines a distinguished career as a pianist with those of composer and writer. Named by The Economist as one of Twenty Living Polymaths, Sir Stephen was made a CBE in 2014 and was knighted in 2022. His appearance at this year’s Last Night of the Proms marked his 30th concerto appearance at the world’s largest classical music festival. This is a very special opportunity to hear a master of interpretation in the intimate surroundings of Parbold’s venue. Alongside works by Cfiaminade, Schumann and Chopin, Sir Stephen performs one of his own compositions, his Sonatina Nostalgica.
